Coke Can Music
Good old Coca-Cola, quencher of thirsts,
supplier of caffeine, purveyor of belches. Ah, but to the true afficionado,
the Coke can is more than a simple aluminum beverage container. If you have
the ear for it, and the willingness to put in the hours and hours (okay, at
least a couple of minutes) of practice, you too can turn this humble beverage container
into a virtuoso musical instrument. Or at least learn how to annoy your
friends and co-workers. See the following lessons to start out on your
musical career. Note that sound samples are included in the lessons.
The embedded links ought to call up stripped down Windows Media Player consoles.
If the console buttons shown don't work out for your setup, you can click
the links shown, and download the samples to whatever associated sound player
you use.
I suppose it should also be mentioned that these will work with just about
any aluminum beverage container. True musicians like myself use officially
licensed and approved Coca-Cola products, or perhaps Dr. Pepper
in a pinch. But only duffers use Pepsi. Make a note of it.
Please excuse the blinding fishbelly white of the hand models shown
in the photographs. As you might have guessed, I don't get out much.
