Burning Life 2005

On September 6, I took a tour of Burning Life, Second Life's answer to the legendary Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert. It only lasted a short time, so I took a couple hundred pictures to capture it for posterity. They're all stereo pairs, which means that they're in 3D if viewed properly. I've created both cross-eyed (convergent) and wall-eyed (parallel) versions of the stereo images. If you need help, take a look at the tutorials linked here. And here are the images themselves. Enjoy! A Note on the Choice of Subject Matter
There were several more exhibits at Burning Life than are shown here. There were many more that, while impressive, didn't lend themselves to stereo photography. The ones that included a considerable amount of movement, for example, would have been impossible to photograph in 3-D. The extra movement between the left and right stereo images would have ruined the effect. Others didn't work for a variety of other reasons. Please don't take the absence of an exhibit from this collection as a judgement on its worth.
