"The Cartoonist Is Flat on His Back" Filler Day
Sorry folks. No comic today. I threw out my back saving a busload of terrorists
from a vicious mob of nuns and orphans.
No. Wait. That doesn't sound right.
Okay, fine! I fell while I was trying to put on my underwear this morning. Are you
happy now? Are you? Geez. Gimme the third degree, why don'cha?
Anyway, drawing requires little things like sitting upright and lifting a heavy
pencil. (You know, they have all that lead! Ha! I slay me!) So comics are
out of the question for a while.
In the meantime, here's some of the early source work for Bob and Ralph. I drove
down to the local Aquarium World and took dozens of pictures of fancy
goldfish. Litte bit of trivia: Goldfish really don't like it when you use a flash.
Neither do fish store employees.
That sketch still cracks me up. Which, at the moment,
is agonizing. Let's hear it for icepacks and good drugs. Don't listen to your parents
and guidance counselors, kiddies! Drugs are good.
More comics when I'm capable of moving under my own power again.
